As Joel Cervantes Macias was driving within the little Village space of Chicago, he saw an old man troubled to push a ice lolly cart. the person was 89-year-old Fidencio Sanchez. He and his woman had recently lost their only daughter and they’d been selling paletas, a sort of Mexican ice lolly, to pay the bills. As his woman had fallen sick however, Fidencio had no selection but to push the cart alone.
“It broke my heart seeing this man that ought to be enjoying retirement still working at this age,” wrote Macias. therefore eager to help the old man in some way, he bought twenty popsicles for $50. Macias and his friend Joe Loera also started a GoFundMe campaign to boost $3,000 for Fidencio and his woman. and the net responded in epic fashion by donating over $250,000 USD in mere 5 days! The campaign remains open, therefore if you’d like to make a donation then head on over to GoFundMe.
