For the first time in NBA history, a father-son team played together. LeBron James (Father) and Bronny (Son) share the same court in an NBA game during the Los Angeles Lakers Vs Minnesota Timberwolves.

With only four minutes remaining in the second quarter, LeBron and Bronny checked into the game together, and the home crowd, knowing of the significance of the milestone, gave them a standing ovation. Before he joined his 20-year-old son to create history, the 39-year-old LeBron had already started the game and played 13 minutes.

LeBron James is considered the greatest scorer in NBA history, however, his son Bronny was selected in the second round last summer. In addition to being on the same squad, they are the first father and son to play simultaneously in the world’s premier basketball league.

While Bronny played summer league for the Lakers, LeBron traveled to Europe for the summer to play for the U.S. Olympic gold medal squad in Paris. Before they went to training camp, they began practicing with the Lakers.

Bronny missed a 3-point attempt on his debut NBA jump shot. With 1:19 remaining in the second quarter, he received another round of applause as he checked out.

And the eagerly awaited moment came when coach JJ Redick introduced the two with four minutes remaining in the first half of the Lakers’ 110-103 triumph.

When the two took the floor, the Lakers were ahead 51-35, and the home audience let out a huge cheer.

The two also shared the court during the Lakers’ preseason matchup with the Phoenix Suns earlier this month.

When questioned about this important moment, “LeBron and Bronny remarked, “It’s always been family over everything,”

“Being able to work while still working with my son is one of the greatest gifts that I have ever received from God, and because this league has cost me a lot of time, I will make the most of it.”

Bronny was selected by the Lakers In June as a second-round pick from Southern California University.

Whereas, LeBron is 39 years old, the all-time NBA point leader, and a four-time NBA champion.
