Pelicans vs Warriors Game Update for 10/29/24: Box Score and Player Statistics

Pelicans vs Warriors 29 Oct: The Golden State Warriors, who were shorthanded with the absence of Andrew Wiggins, De’Anthony Melton, and Steph Curry, hosted the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. The early benching of Jonathan Kuminga by Dubs coach Steve Kerr also created a stir. Draymond Green, Moses Moody, Buddy Hield, Brandin Podziemski, and Trayce Jackson-Davis were all waiting for Kerr to tip them off.  

The Pelicans got off to a scorching start thanks to Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. After one quarter, they were ahead 31–14, but they lost the next three, 110–75. After coming off the bench, Lindy Waters III scored 21 points, pulled down nine rebounds, provided four assists, and committed one steal. For the Dubs, Waters, and Brandon Podziemski changed the outcome of the game.

In addition to leading all scorers with 31 points, Zion Williamson had a game-high eight turnovers. New Orleans finished with 22 errors, giving Golden State 34 points. Despite a poor start, the Warriors won 124-106.

Pelicans vs Warriors: Game Summary

The Pelicans lead 31-14 after 12 minutes, supported by Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, who combined for 19 points in the first quarter. Additionally, the visitors’ defense held the home team to 6-for-24 shooting, including 2-for-13 from beyond the three-point line.  

In the second quarter, the Warriors reversed the Pelicans’ position. Lindy Waters III gave the Dubs a lift with nine points. In addition to stepping up offensively, Gary Payton II also played a strong defensive game. They were behind 51-47 at the half after falling behind 17 points in the first quarter.
